I'm not big on handbags. In fact I own only three, one of which is more of a satchel than a handbag if we're being honest here, and I have been using these three on rotation for the past two years.
Not that I have anything against purses, its just that if I can't fit my laptop, notebook, novel, wallet, and about ten other things in a bag then I have no use for it. And as you can imagine, such bags are few and hard to find so when I saw this colourful faux skin bag while Christmas shopping last year I had to get it for myself! (And yes, that means my gift budget had to be cut :)
I figured with all the colours in its palette it'd go with practically everything in my closet! It didn't. I mean I still carried it, but did I always feel like the styling was on fleek? Not particularly. Until this outfit. It's an explosion of colour head to toe and I love it!
The black pants reign this look in from heading into crazy town...although one of these days... |
The key to pulling off a casual top like this polo neck shirt for work is to accessorise. I feel the addition of a statement necklace made this look office appropriate despite the general weekend vibe of the entire outfit.
Speaking of weekends, I'm going to attend a fashion launch this Saturday that I just can't wait to blog about! I love it when I already have weekend plans before the day you know, 'cause I'm one of those people that need like a 24 hour heads up otherwise I feel like I don't have adequate time to deal with socialising. The introvert in me needs her weekends for some recharging me time but then again the extrovert in me loves having her finger on the pulse of the latest happenings. The balancing act is a delicate one I kid you not!
